The Council of Ministers has approved Decree No. 176/2025, published in the Official Gazette of the Republic on June 20, 2025, granting an extension for the submission of personal income tax returns and the payment of the corresponding tax for the tax year 2024.
The new deadline applies to:
- Individuals who are NOT self-employed, and
- Self-employed individuals who are not required to submit audited or reviewed accounts.
Both the submission of the 2024 personal income tax return and the payment of the tax due are now extended until September 30, 2025.
