The Tax Department has announced that, to assist taxpayers, the Tax Commissioner, in consultation with the Minister of Finance, has decided to extend the deadline for submitting the Individual Income Tax Return and paying taxes/contributions for the 2024 Tax Year. The new deadline is 15/10/2025, and no administrative fines or financial charges will apply for timely submissions made by this date.
Submissions and payments made after this date will be considered overdue and will be subject to:
- An administrative fine of €100
- Additional tax of 5%
- Financial charge of 5%
- Interest accrued until full payment of the amounts due
